Military Special Textiles Factory



Shanley International owns a textile factory in Nantong, near Shanghai China.

It is a high quality manufacturer specializing in fire-resistant, biohazard and IRR textiles for use in the aviation, military, hospitality, medical, nuclear, mining, metallurgy and industrial sectors. We have a world-class 30,000 sq m production facility with a team of specialists, a modern in-house testing laboratory and patented technology. We can supply either fabric or finished items.

Applications:

  • Military Use
We manufacture a wide range of FR, IRR, WP, rip-stop, rot resistant and camouflage materials for use in military clothing, tents and specialist applications. Customers for these materials include the UK MOD and the Australian Defence Force.

  • FR Adsorptive Material
Our FR fabrics can be used in any interior or upholstery environment where fire resistance is of critical importance.


  • Industrial Use
Our tough, specialist textiles are excellent for worker’s safety in the metallurgy, mining and welding industries.

  • Water, Oil and Soil Resistance
These fabrics have excellent water, oil and soil resistant properties due to our special manufacturing processes. They can be easily cleaned using tissue paper or cloth and have a wide use in various fields.

  • Public Buildings
Our FR textiles are suitable for hotels, cinemas, hospitals and retirement homes.


  • The Home
Our range of FR textiles is used for children’s sleepwear, toys, curtains, blankets, furniture upholstery and mattresses where fire resistant properties are critical.

  • Transportation
Our FR textiles are used as safety bedding blankets on passenger aircraft such as British Airways, trains and ships.


  • Antibacterial Fabric
Our cotton, linen, wool, polyester/cotton and viscose fabrics have highly efficient anti-bacterial properties with excellent washability after use as a result of our patented technology. These textiles are used for medical staff and specialist operations in a bacterial environment.
